Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1884, 105SW (Cartographic). SDV218129.

'Magazine' marked on OS 6" (1884) map. Not on later maps.

By 1884 a new magazine is shown on the 19C maps at this location probably due to changes in Health & Safety regulations. The survey found the remains of the building with three walls up to 2m high & an entrance in the southeast corner. A protective wall 1m high encircled the building with a 1m wide access gap.
