The Engine House shown on 19C maps probably served both Railway Shaft (see PRN 3869) & New Shaft (seePRN 56092) at Wheal Emma mine. The survey in 2002 found the remnants of an engine house, a boiler house & loadings. The boiler house chimney was located to the east at SX43757551 Other details: Sites 279/1,280.
