The wheelpits here have been landscaped and little remains.

Site of South Wheal Fanny water wheel & tail race shown on 19C maps used to pump South Fanny Shaft (see PRN 51113) & later other shafts by flat rods (see PRN 56105). A small aqueduct from the Great Leat fed the water wheel. The survey in 2002 found no evidence of the water wheel site but the tail race was still visible c0.4m wide x 1m deep & passing under a stone arched tunnel at SX43127289. Other details: Site 325.
