Full description
Wasley, G., 1994, Devon at War 1939-1945, 55 (Monograph). SDV165766.
In 1940 Royal Engineers adapted the ancient battery as a machine-gun strongpoint. Abandoned after a few weeks due to unsuitability of the inward splay of the original, 16th century, gun embrasures.
