Full description
Horner, W., 1996, Untitled Source (Site Visit). SDV101913.
Fragments of iron slag, including large pieces of tap slag, have been found in the vegetable garden to the southeast of Old Woodhayne Farm house. One fragment of tap slag, 20cm by 20cm, appears to have part of furnace bottom adhering to it. The garden itself is fairly level but the garden boundary bank drops to a terrace above a hollow-way (see PRN 56246). Other details: Location Plan.
