Brimpts north mine mill. Tailrace channel + spoilheap. The channel extends for c.65m and was some 6m below original surface level at the wheelpit. The deeper parts have now been infilled with peaty ground. The spoil from the excavation forms a substantial heap along the e side (bird + hirst).
