Full description

Francis, P., 1995, Blackdown Hills Airfield Survey. Dunkeswell and Upottery, No. 27, Fig. 23 (Report - Survey). SDV312951.

Building 34. Fire tender shelter. Construction: rendered 4.5ins brick with piers at 10ft. Centres, steel trusses supporting corrugated asbestos sheeting.
Function: used as a garage for fire tender truck operated by the duty fire crew stationed in the guardhouse. Currently used as a garden nursery and in good condition.

Francis' Fig. 23 suggests that this may be the fire tender shelter.
