Summary

A group of seven former Air Ministry Works Department buildings. Built of brick with corrugated asbestos sheet roofs. Six of the buildings functioned as offices and workshops for the Air Ministry clerk of works and works services personnel engaged in maintenance of all the structures on the airfield and domestic sites. The seventh was a technical latrine.

Air Ministry Works Department (AMWD) buildings. Construction: rendered 4.5ins brick walls with piers at 10ft. Centres supporting corrugated asbestos sheeting.
Function: six buildings used as offices and workshops for Air Ministry clerk of works and works services personnel engaged in maintenance of all structures on the airfield and domestic sites. One building functioned as a technical latrine. All seven buildings survive within this group. Currently used by garden nursery and all are in good condition.
