Summary

Air ministry works department (amwd) buildings. Construction: rendered 4.5ins brick walls with piers at 10ft. Centres supporting corrugated asbestos sheeting. Function: six buildings used as offices and workshops for air ministry clerk of works and works services personnel engaged in maintenance of all structures on the airfield and domestic sites. One building functioned as a technical latrine. Individual ngrs are st13930780, st13940780, st13940779, st13960779, st13940782 and st13960781. All seven buildings survive within this group. Currently used by garden nursery and all are in good condition (francis).
