Summary

Motor transport workshops (usn supply) construction: cold-rolled fabricated steel arched-shaped ribs made in three parts creating a span of 40 feet and spaced at four feet centres to form a building 100 feet long. Clad with corrugated iron sheeting. Function: three garage type workshop facilities forming part of the large usn motor transport depot, associated with motor vehicle yard and air ministry type motor transport shed. The three workshops are in excellent condition (plate 8) and are all part of an interesting group representing the only usn motor transport depot buildings in the uk. One hut currently not used and the other two function as garage workshops (francis).
