Function: to house a step-up transformer so that the air ministry supply remained at constant voltage. Supply distributed via switchgear apparatus. Oil-cooled switchgear with brass plate displaying the following information - long and crawford ltd manchester type u11 serial no. U1395 100 amp, 75 mva patent 379817 and 34329. This equipment (plate 11) is in superb condition (because of the preservation effect of the oil bath) (francis).
