Summary

Post office (usn supply). Construction: cold-rolled fabricated steel arched-shaped ribs forming a span of 20 feet and spaced at four feet centres creating a building 48 feet long. Timber-framed windows fitted flush with the corrugated iron sheeting. Function: originally two huts were erected on this site for use as a post office but only one survives today. Presumably used for mailing letters to families in the united states. Building derelict (plate 9) and in poor condition (francis).
