An extensive area of stone working, characterised by large slabs of bedrock and dense clitter. There are numerous small clearance heaps - either spoil from surface stripping or the debris from stone working. There is evidence for 19th century working in the form of drill-split stones. There are also several good examples of stone dressing areas.

(02/09/1991) An extensive area of stone working, characterised by large slabs of bedrock and dense clitter. There are numerous small clearance heaps - either spoil from surface stripping or the debris from stone working. There is evidence for 19th century working in the form of drill-split stones. There are also several good examples of stone dressing areas.
