Full description

Unknown, 1837, Plan of Bovey Pottery Water Courses (Plan - sketch). SDV296975.

The granite sidings may in fact predate the railway as they appear on an 1837 plan of the Bovey Potteries.

Bovey Granite Sidings. Built by the railway company at the point where the railway and Haytor Granite Tramway diverge. Intended for continued functioning of the tramway but it is doubtful if they were ever used for this purpose.
