Full description

Untitled Source, MPP 140703 (Migrated Record). SDV165583.

Site visited on 12th April 1995.The central hut is of the simple plan and double orthostat walling type. Interior measures 6 metres in diameter and is surrounded by a 1.1 metre wide wall standing up to 0.7 metres high. A 2.3 metre wide and 0.6 metre deep drainage ditch is visible around the upper side of this building.

Annexe 6.5 by 5.7 metres externally with walls 0.6 metres high is attached to the northern sector of a hut circle with inner and outer facing slabs visible . The north-east wall forms part of the western enclosure wall . A gap in the south-east sector may be an entrance

Hut circle at SX 57606426. Measuring 5.6 metres by 6.1 metres in internal diameter with walls 1.0 metres wide and 0.2 metres high. This hut possesses a deep drainage ditch around its upslope side. The excavated debris from the latter has been used to infill the hut to encourage rabbit burrowing.
