HER Number:MDV56841
Name:VERMIN TRAP in the Parish of Shaugh Prior

Summary

Vis=4/4/1995 (gerrard) at above ngr + sx57036466. These 2 animal runs survive as gullies situated within a partially enclosed hut settlement. The e animal run survives as a 50m by 0.3m by 0.2m deep gully which cuts through an enclosure. Material upcast during its construction forms a 1.4m wide and 0.25m high bank on the w side of the gully. The w animal run survives as a u-shaped gully lying between an enclosure and a well used moorland track. These gullies probably represent part of a complex system of animal runs in which rabbits and vermin could have been trapped (mpp).
