Name:Pillow mound at Little Trowlesworthy Tor

Summary

Pillow mound survives as a 28m by 7.5m by 0.8m high, flat topped, sub rectangular mound of soil and stones. A ditch surrounds the mound and survives as a 3.3m wide and 0.8m deep hollow. A 1.5m wide and 0.3m deep gully leading north-north-west from the northern end of the pillow mound may represent an animal run in which vermin and rabbits were trapped.

(05/04/1995) Pillow mound survives as a 28m by 7.5m by 0.8m high, flat topped, sub rectangular mound of soil and stones. A ditch surrounds the mound and survives as a 3.3m wide and 0.8m deep hollow. A 1.5m wide and 0.3m deep gully leading north-north-west from the northern end of the pillow mound may represent an animal run in which vermin and rabbits were trapped.
