A south-south-west facing 0.6 metres wide gap may represent an original doorway. This hut is built against the south side of a very large earthfast boulder.

Full description

One of six hut circles associated with enclosure to the south-west of Shell Top. Hut circle 'a' at SX59226364 with 0.6 metres wide and 1 metre high single orthostat wall surrounding a 2.0 metres diameter internal area. A south-south-west facing 0.6 metres wide gap may represent an original doorway. This hut is built against the south side of a very large earthfast boulder.
