Full description
Freeman, R., 1995, The History of the Castle Hotel Dartmouth, 20, 25 (Pamphlet). SDV340278.
HMS Britannia and HMS Hindustan were two training ships for naval cadets at the 'H.M. Naval Establishment'. They were moored in this area from 1863. At the beginning of the 20th century the training ships were replaced with a permanent college on land when Britannia Royal Naval College was built.
