Summary

Petrol installation. Construction: oval-shaped concrete road with six buried aviation fuel tanks located in the centre of the road. Two small rendered brick with flat concrete roof pump houses, one used for replenishing the underground tanks with fuel from petrol company tankers; the other, for filling up two raf petrol tankers simultaneously. Also, there appears to be a brick walled fuel containment enclosure. Extremely rare to see the two pump houses complete with original pipework and steel doors extant. Modern barn built on top of older wall (francis).
