Summary

Training Aid 2F, one of ten mock-up pillboxes in Area 'F' of the US Army Second World War Assault Training Centre at Baggy Point, is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1945 onwards. It might have been built to duplicate a hexagonal pillbox. It remains clearly visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in May 2007.

Training Aid 2F recorded on original US army plans of the Assault Training Center on the west side of Baggy Point.

Training Aid 2F, one of ten mock-up pillboxes in Area 'F' of the US Army Second World War Assault Training Centre at Baggy Point, is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1945 onwards centred on circa SS42204059. The pillbox appears to be partly buried or set into an earthwork field boundary bank on its western side. The visible structure is possibly intended to duplicate a hexagonal pillbox, and measures circa eight and a half metres across at its widest point. It remains clearly visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in May 2007 and appears to be in good condition.
