Water from a collecting tank in Braunton was pumped to a large reservoir at the back of what is now the Saunton park residential estate.

Disused reservoir marked on current DCC mapbase at roughly above NGR.

Large cistern possibly 15,000 gallons. The last remaining item left since US occupation. Concrete slab foundations of huts removed 1987 for agricultural purposes and grazing.

Alongside Challoners Road in Braunton is a concrete water-collecting tank. Here water was taken from the River Caen and pumped over the hill to a huge reservoir at the back of what is now Saunton Park.
