Full description
Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 143915 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.
Visited on 16th November 1994. Pillow mound survives as an 8.9 metre by 4.1 metres and 0.9 metre high, flat topped, oval mound of soil and stone surrounded on 4 sides by the 2 metre wide and 0.15 metre deep ditch from which construction material was quarried. It has seen limited damage as a result of a trench being cut into it. This trench may be the result of an early partial excavation by an antiquarian who mistook this mound for a long cairn.
