Summary

Cairn north of Deadman's Bottom in the Langcombe Valley. Round cairn measuring 4.5 metres in diameter, 0.2 metres high. Kerb and cist. Robbed. A 4.5 metre diameter area of small hummocks defined by a rough ring of large stones. In centre is a 0.8 metre by 0.6 metres by 0.25 metre deep hollow lined on three sides with stones. A 1 metre long, 0.7 metre wide and 0.2 metre deep pit lies on the south-east side.

Full description

Turner, J. R., 1990, Ring Cairns, Stone Circles and Related Monuments on Dartmoor, Worksheet (Article in Serial). SDV229817.

Visited on 30th July 1983. A cairn 3.5 metres diameter and 0.3 metres high. The centre of the cairn has been dug into and deposited on its west side.
