Full description

Small cairn, turf covered with a hollow in the centre. Diameter 4.0 meters, height 0.5 meters. (1950)
A small turf covered cairn. Diameter 5.0 meters, height 0.3 meters. (1977)

This cairn is largely covered with heather, it lies on a moderate west-facing slope overlooking the River Avon, in a fairly rocky and bracken infested area. Adjacent to an extensive group of enclosures and hut circles.

Cairn of large slabs arranged so regularly as to suggest a recent date on Dockwell Ridge (west spur). Diameter 5.0 meters, height 0.3 meters. (Visited 24/6/1976)

This site was considered for designation as a Scheduled Ancient Monument during the Monument Protection Programme. The programme ended before the entire list of sites was successfully scheduled so this is included on a local list of Nationally Important Sites.
