(03/05/1988) A leat running northwest-southeast from SX 64127515 to SX 64237498, is an area of rough grazing above a marshy stream bed, once subject to tin working (SX 67 SW 85).
The leat first appears at SX 64127515 as a barely visible channel, 0.3m wide and 0.05m deep, with no bank. It attains a maximum of 1.5m in width and 0.5m in depth, with a bank on the east, 2.0m wide 0.7m high at SX 64197506. It has reduced to a shallow depression, 0.7m wide and 0.1m deep, with a bank 1.0m wide and 0.2m high at SX 64237498.
Centred at SX 64207504 is a small rectilinear hollow to the west of and adjoining the leat. It is 8.3m long, cut back 2.3m into the hill slope. No traces of stone work or floors are visible and it is assumed that this hollow is a mutilation of the leat rather than the site of a structure.
