National Monuments Record, SS22NW32 (National Monuments Record Database). SDV337112.

British cargo schooner Iris, burnt off Hartland Point in 1859. Registered in Penzance. On passage from Cardiff to Devoran in coal. Fire started in the cabin and spread to the whole vessel, abandoned and sank in 20 minutes
