French merchant screw steamer 'Ville de Bayonne'. Wrecked 6 to 8 miles west of Hartland Point in 1917. Steel built by Craig Taylor & Co. Stockton. Construction: well deck; triple 3 cylinder; 159hp by Westgarth, English & Co., Middlesborough. Registered La Rochelle. On Passage from Barry to Fray Bentos in coal. Owner: Faustin & Co. Master: Moyon.
