Site visit 20/3/1997 by Exeter Archaeology. Probable marker stone with south west end of a hollow way which runs north west, then south west, around Lower Charlwood Farm. The stone is against the east side of the track and measures 0.8m high x 0.5m wide (max) x 0.33m thick. No inscription could be found. The stone is an irregular/natural shape on back and sides; however, the west face (facing the track) is flatter and may have been worked.
