Manning, P. T. + Walmsley, L. P., 1997, Devon County Council Haldon Ridge archaeological survey: Phase II (Report - Survey). SDV294888.

Exeter Archaeology, 1997, Haldon Ridge Survey (Report - Survey). SDV337108.

Site visit 12/3/1997 by Exeter Archaeology. On the tithe map there were 2 small fields within the south west quarter of the present field. The field in the south west corner was Great Burrow New Park (86) and the field adjacent on the south east was Little Burrow New Park (87). On an Ashcombe manor plan of 1827 (dro: 484m/t3/20) the area is called Great Barrow Park. The present field has parish boundary with kenton on the west side, represented by a hedgebank. No evidence of a barrow along the parish boundary. Several bumps/undulations in the field, particularly on the north west side. One low mound more circular than other features: c.25m diam x max c.0.5m high; located c.105m south east of the parish boundary at sx90608040 (approx. north east edge of tithe map field Great Burrow New Park. However all these features may be natural.

NERC, 2013, LiDAR DTM data (1m resolution) Tellus: South Devon to Dartmoor, LIDAR SX9080 Tellus DTM 01-JUL-2017 to 31-AUG-2014 (Cartographic). SDV361514.

Natural mounds are visible on lidar derived images of 2013.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (AI&M) (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Irregular mounds are visible on aerial photographs and images derived from lidar data on the south-west facing slopes between Gilpin’s Bottom and Dawlish Water. No evidence to support an archaeological interpretation of this feature was seen on the aerial imagery available to the survey. The earthworks are interpreted as probably natural in origin.
