Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Numerous parallel curvilinear ditches, under a metre wide, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken from 1950 onwards and some remain visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. They are aligned approximately along the contour, dropping only a few metres over the visible length of 170 metres. They are interpreted as the remains of former catchmeadow leats of post-medieval or 19th century origin, taken off the drainage ditches along the adjacent field boundaries. The system is not depicted on the available historic mapping and probably went out of use by the late-19th century.
