Linear banks and ditches circa 2m to 5m wide and 30m to 65m long are visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as earthworks on the north-east facing slopes of a combe.
Two banks towards the south-west corner of the plot closely follow the contours of the slope and may be evidence of terracing. The visible features do not correspond with any features depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but do appear to be constrained by the extant field boundaries. They do not resemble landscaping typically associated with orchards. This might support the interpretation of the earthworks as evidence of landscaping of possible medieval to post-medieval origin that were removed prior to circa 1840.
