Exeter Archaeology, 1997, Haldon Ridge Survey (Report - Survey). SDV337108.

Site visit 20/3/1997 by Exeter Archaeology. Two parallel banks, c.9m apart, run east-west across the width of the field. East boundary is a stream. Banks c.0.25m high. South bank curves slightly to south towards the west end but the west end of both banks is lost under current north-south track along the west side of the field. South bank located 132m south of north field boundary.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (AI&M) (Interpretation). SDV361305.

A linear ditched bank circa 3m wide and 32m long is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as an earthwork on the north-east facing slopes of a combe. A similarly proportioned ditch is also visible circa 10m to the north. The earthworks are visible crossing the contours of the slope towards the northern end of the plot, where the field narrows.
The visible features do not correspond with any features depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but do appear to be constrained by the extant field boundaries. This might support interpretation of the earthworks as evidence of sub-division of the plot of medieval to post-medieval date, that were removed prior to circa 1840.
The earthworks are identifiable as very slight features on more recent images available to the survey.
