A possible double ditched oval or sub-circular enclosure of probable prehistoric date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark on the gentle west facing slopes to the south-west of Hayne House. The cropmarks are incompletely visible but where clear appear narrow, less than 1.5 metres in width. The enclosure ditches are 2 metres apart, defining an enclosed area possibly up to 25 metres by 17 metres in size. No internal features were identified. It is possible that the cropmark enclosed one or more barrows of Bronze Age date as part of a possible cemetery in this area and could perhaps be interpreted as a ring ditch.
