A slightly irregularly shaped possible ring ditch is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark at the tip of a south-west facing spur west of Ellerhayes, overlooking the Culm valley. The cropmark measures up to almost 3 metres in width and encloses and area up to 22 metres in diameter. The dark ring ditch is visible against a mottled paler background, possibly indicative of an outcrop of bedrock. The cropmark might mark the location of a barrow of Bronze Age date situated in a prominent and highly visible location location.
