Full description

DPRFP, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV262469.

Vis=31/1/1997 (robinson site lies in a s facing hollow in a moderate s slope. The only visible trace is a possible faint scarp marking the e side of the conjectural n side of the enclosure (dprfp).

Rectangular single ditched enclosure (n side not visible) c.70m x 70m. Entrance or breaks in s and e sides. Recorded from the air as a cropmark by f. Griffith in 1995 (aph).

A rectilinear dark cropmark, up to 3 metres wide and covering an area of approximately half a hectare, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1992. It is interpreted as having formed over the buried remains of a ditched enclosure of later prehistoric date.
