Vis=31/1/1997 (robinson) site lies on a gentle s slope. Could not be assessed due to height of crop (dprfp).

Small annular dark mark diam c.10m. Adjacent linear marks. Recorded from the air as a cropmark in 195 by f. Griffith (aph).

A ring ditch is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark on the south-facing slopes south-west of Black Forest Farm, Starcross. The cropmark is roughly 2.5m wide and encloses a near circular area of approximately 10m diameter. A possible break nearly 3m wide visible on the west side of the ditch might be evidence of an entrance. The ring ditch may be evidence of a roundhouse of Iron Age date.
