NMR, SS33NW24 (National Monuments Record Database). SDV341065.

Thistlemor. Merchant steamer foundered at SS3821, 4 miles north east of Clovelly, 1909. built 1906. Registered Sunderland. C ardiff to Capetown in coal. Crew 30 (21 lost).

Thistelmor. 350 foot steamer. Cardiff to Cape Town in coal. Sunk by hurricane on 2nd December 1909 in Barnstaple Bay (Decca 510404;042417). Ribs standing proud at 20 metres. Has collapsed inwards - boilers, engine room and machinery exposed. Deep tidal scour at stern.
