Summary

An oval enclosure, measuring 60.0m by 50.0m, is formed by a turf-covered rubble bank 1.5m wide and 0.4m high, save on the south-west where there is a 20.0m gap. Three very ruined huts are built onto the inner face of the enclosure, one at each side of the south-west gap and another at the north-east corner. All are set into the slope to form circular platforms with diameters from 7.5m to 8.2m. No entrances are visible.

(12/07/1979) A small enclosed settlement situated at SX 6703 6101 on a slight north slope in an area of bracken and pasture. An oval enclosure, measuring 60.0m by 50.0m, is formed by a turf-covered rubble bank 1.5m wide and 0.4m high, save on the south-west where there is a 20.0m gap. Three very ruined huts are built onto the inner face of the enclosure, one at each side of the south-west gap and another at the north-east corner. All are set into the slope to form circular platforms with diameters from 7.5m to 8.2m. No entrances are visible.
Outside the enclosure, centred at SX 6699 6101, are two more hut sites represented by platforms set into the slope with a few stones protruding from the turf around the perimeters. The hut type is indeterminate. Surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD.

Enclosure 'C' at 'Corringdon Ball enclosures' with few stones showing through the turf covering the boundary wall of 0.3 metres high but lost altogether at the north-east corner. The four or five huts of 5.5 to 7.0 metres diameter are poorly preserved so perhaps this site was abandoned at an early stage.
