Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 143979, (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

Visited 1997 (SX 6526 8600 ) Hut circle forming part of a hut settlement. Diameter 5.5 metres. Double orthostat wall 1.7 metres wide, 0.8 metres high. Internal area 23.74 metres. Doorway faces 162 degrees (south-south-east), is 0.6 metres wide and is flanked on both sides by substantial orthostats. The north-west sector of the hut has collapsed down the steep hillslope. Relationship to the adjacent wall is unclear.

Butler, J., 1991, Dartmoor Atlas of Antiquities: Volume Two - The North, 184-86, Map 37, Figure 37.1 (Monograph). SDV219155.

Hut circle '5' of circa 6.0 metres diameter with the door jambs still in place on the south side of a field boundary at 'Stonetor Brook east settlement'. A few stones on an arc of a circle to the south-west of this hut may be the remains of Hut '6'.

Probert, S. A. J., 1991, Shovel Down Survey (Report - Survey). SDV359365.

(16/08/1991) Centred SX 652859. A settlement of 6.5 hectares containing at least nineteen hut circles and traces of two other structures is situated on the moderate west and north-west flanks of Shovel Down. This settlement lies within and appears to be contemporary with a well-developed parallel reave system (SX 68 NW 24).
The vast majority of the huts are ovoid and where discernible, entrances generally lie in the south. Some of the huts are intimately associated with smaller enclosures within the larger reave pattern. Unlike the neighbouring settlements SX 68 NE 13 and 41 there is no evidence to suggest that these huts or their associated enclosures pre-date the construction of the reaves. An additional table of information on the hut circles is held in the archive (see Pastscape notation).(16/08/1991) Centred SX 652859.
