Parallel linear ditched features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (p1) to the north of Southcott. They are possibly field boundaries of medieval or later date, but may be of geological origin. They were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The features are sited within an area described as post medieval enclosures with medieval elements in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
