Griffith, F. M., 1998, Untitled Source (Worksheet). SDV144034.

A bronze spearhead was found on Leas Foot Beach in March 1998. Dated to circa 700BC.


Allan, J. P., 1998, Untitled Source (Personal Comment). SDV144035.

The spearhead is of bronze. It has a short socketed butt, long plain oval blade and very broad mid-rib. Two opposing peg-holes in the socket. Characteristic of late pegged spearheads of c1200-900BC. Said to have been found on Leas Foot Beach, exposed after winter storms.
