Rapid examination of air photography suggests the presence of a linear feature, possibly the corner of a Roman camp, or a Medieval or later field boundary, visible as a cropmark from ST00932193 to ST00872195 where it bends and continues to ST00862205, circa 350 metres north-east of Cudmore Farm. If the feature is a Roman camp, there are no indications of any entrances.

An L-Shaped cropmark of a ditch was visible on aerial photographs to the east of the Roman Fort at Cudmore Farm, Clayhanger. The date and function of the ditched feature are unknown.
