A dark right-angled cropmark, visible on aerial photographs taken between 1955 and 1996, is interpreted as having formed over the corner of a ditched enclosure of probable later prehistoric or Roman date. Its southern and western sides were not visible on the available aerial photographs, but it is on a similar alignment and has a similar width of ditch at just under 2 metres to the enclosure in the field to the east (MDV10041) with which it may be broadly contemporary. A linear dark cropmark at an oblique angle to the eastern side may be associated, but is only visible on aerial photographs taken in 1955 so interpretation is cautious.
