Cropmarks which have formed over infilled ditches of a probable prehistoric to Romano-British enclosure are visible on aerial photographs of 1996 and 1999, to the south of Wood Farm. The cropmarks are fairly well defined and form a rectilinear shaped enclosure which is sited on gentle west facing slope and measures approximately 117m in length by 110m in width. Possible entrance-ways were recorded along the east edge and northwest corner. The southern edge and southwest corner was, however, less clearly defined. A linear cropmark of less certain origin was also recorded to the immediate east of the enclosure, as well as an L-shaped cropmark (recorded separately) to the north which may represent part of an associated feature.
