Full description

Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1987-1993, Duchy Farms Project Survey Visit, S. A. J. Probert (Report - Survey). SDV350839.

(08/01/1992) SX 66698704. A disturbed hut circle on the NE edge of Chagford Common 150m S of Teigncombe Gate.
It is visible as a level platform 4.8m in diameter enclosed by a stoney bank averaging 1.2m wide and 0.4m high on the W, E and S. The N side has been built up by 0.5m while the S side is cut into the slope by 0.4m. There is no obvious entrance.
This hut lies within a well-developed parallel reave system.

SX 6669 8703 Stone hut circle forming part of a prehistoric settlement within the Kestor coaxial field system. (01/04/1997) Diameter 5m. Single orthostat and earthwork wall 1.1m wide, 0.6m high. Internal area 19.62m. Terraced. Stones around the north and east sides, but earthwork elsewhere.

Hut circle '9' of circa 6.2 metres diameter in the south-west corner of a field at 'Kes Tor settlement'. Only about half a dozen slabs arranged around a circular levelled area are all that remains of this hut.
