(02/04/1997) SX 6634 8665 Stone hut circle forming part of a prehistoric settlement within the Kestor coaxial field system. Diameter 3.9m. Double orthostat wall 1.1m wide, 0.6m high. Internal area 11.93m. Covered in dense gorse which is obscuring structural details.

(11/10/1991) Centred SX 6635 8664. Two hut circles on the gentle north-west facing slope of Chagford Common 175m north-east of Batworthy Bridge. See also MDV59185.
The northern hut at SX 6636 8666 consists of turf-covered stoney walls 1.5m wide and a maximum of 0.25m high enclosing a levelled area 4.1m in diameter. traces of internal wall facing is apparent on the east. There is no obvious entrance.
These huts were previously recorded under SX 68 NE 14. (see RCHME 1991 'Castor Survey' at 1:2500).

(21/01/2019) Condition of hut assessed by volunteer recorder as moderate, vegetation encroachment is affecting site. Vegetation encroachment scores on Hut A (=4), Hut B (=3). Hut A very difficult to locate and identification not certain.
