Full description

Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1987-1993, Duchy Farms Project Survey Visit, S. A. J. Probert (Report - Survey). SDV350839.

(11/10/1991) SX 66328651. A disturbed hut circle situated on the gently sloping NW flank of Chagford Common 150m SE of Batworthy Bridge. It comprises crude boulder wall which encloses a terraced area 4.4m NW-SE by 2.7m. There is no obvious entrance.
This hut lies within the Castor Parallel Reave System.
hut formerly recorded as part of SX 68 NE 14. (See RCHME 1991 'Castor Survey' at 1:2500 scale).

(02/04/1997) SX 6631 8649 Stone hut circle forming part of a prehistoric settlement within the Kestor coaxial field system. Diameter 5m. Double orthostat wall 1.4m wide, 0.7m high. Internal area 19.62m. Only the northern half of this hut is visible.
