(11/10/1991) SX 6627 8631. Two hut circles located in the corners of an enclosure centred 275m west of Castor Rock. See also MDV59190.
The north-eastern hut at SX 6627 8636 measures 3.5m north-south by 3.0m and is enclosed by a wall of large boulders and slabs 1.6m and 0.5m high. The site has been terraced and a break in the south-western wall may indicate the position of an entrance.
These huts were formerly recorded under SX 68 NE 14.
The enclosure containing these huts is part of the Castor Parallel Reave System. (See RCHME 1991 'Castor Survey' at 1:2500 scale).

(02/04/1997) SX 6626 8634 Stone hut circle forming part of a prehistoric settlement within the Kestor coaxial field system. Diameter 4.2m. Single orthostat wall 1.5m wide, 0.6m high. Internal area 13.84m. The door faces 203 degrees. The hut is built into a field corner.
