Full description
Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1987-1993, Duchy Farms Project Survey Visit, S. A. J. Probert (Report - Survey). SDV350839.
(11/10/1991) SX 6627 8631. Two hut circles located in the corners of an enclosure centred 275m west of Castor Rock. See also MDV59189.
The south-western hut at SX 6624 8625 is square in plan with sides of 3.8m. Its turf-covered stoney walls are about 1.7m wide and 0.6m high with a break in the east side. The site has been terraced.
These huts were formerly recorded under SX 68 NE 14.
The enclosure containing these huts is part of the Castor Parallel Reave System. (See RCHME 1991 'Castor Survey' at 1:2500 scale).

(02/04/1997) SX 6623 8623 Stone hut circle forming part of a prehistoric settlement within the Kestor coaxial field system. Diameter 4.2m. Rubble and earthwork wall 1.4m wide, 0.5m high. Internal area 13.84m. The hut is built into a field corner.
