Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1987-1993, Duchy Farms Project Survey Visit, S. A. J. Probert (Report - Survey). SDV350839.

(11/10/1991) SX 6667 8638. A robbed hut circle on the moderate north-east facing slope of Chagford Common 150m north-east of Castor Rock.
It is visible as a levelled platform 5.0m in diameter cut 0.55m into the slope on its western margin. There is no obvious entrance but there is a gap in the north-western side. (See RCHME, 1991 'Castor Survey' at 1:2500 scale).

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 149142 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

(02/04/1997) SX 6667 8639 Stone hut circle forming part of a prehistoric settlement within the Kestor coaxial field system. Diameter 6.5m. Earthwork wall 0.5m high. Internal area 33.1m. A circular platform terraced into the hillslope. The hillside in this area does have a number of amorphous humps and hollows, perhaps the result of surface stone extraction. This particular hollow is however likely to be a hut.

Butler, J., 1991, Dartmoor Atlas of Antiquities: Volume Two - The North, 170-174, Map 36, Figure 36.1 (Monograph). SDV219155.
